I am currently a 3rd Year Ph.D Stundet in Computer Science at Stony Brook University. My research is focused on developing assisitve robotics applications for people with limited movement using computer vision and NLP technologies.
I am advised by Professor I.V Ramakrishnan and Professor Haibin Ling . I also work closely with Professor Nilanjan Chakraborty and Professor Ritwik Banerjee.
I recently advanced to PhD. Candidacy with the work "DICE: Dual Inference For Combined Object Pose Estimation" which uses a novel combination algorithm to combine the results of a CNN and Transformer for more accurate object pose estimations in textureless and occulded scenarios. This work is under submission at ICRA 2024.
I graduated with a B.S (Hons.) in Computer Science (Magna Cum Laude) at Stony Brook University where I was actively involved in undergraduate research at the Data Management and Biomedical Data Analytics Lab (BMI-DB) and the Computer Vision Lab (CV Lab).
My Senior Honors Thesis was "Quantifying and Detecting Whataboutism in Social Media Comments" where I designed a new distance metric using Attention to identify "whataboutism" in Youtube comments with an accuracy of up to 70%. The code is available at Detection and Dissection of Whataboutism Beyond ''Tu Quoque''. This work is under submission at ICWSM 2024.
Details about my current projets can be found in in the research page.
